Selene met the Shape Shifter's eyes. "How did you do that?" She had heard Dragon's voice in her head, as clear as if she had spoken out loud.
I also happen to be a telepath, Dragon answered. Meaning, I can read your mind, I can see your memories, and I can speak to you without ever moving my mouth. Shape Shifters have more than one power, she added. Side powers, we call them. Lain...
Selene saw an image of the white wolf appear in her mind.
...is a Knower. She knows what happened in the past, what's happening now...
"I've decided to help you," Dragon said out loud. "In whatever way I can. I told the pack we would help you, no questions asked. They're not too happy with it, but I know it's the right thing to do."
Selene was silent. She never would have thought she would ever have help from another immortal. Dragon and her pack would be her first and so far only ally. And she needed help, too, whether she liked to admit it or not. This problem was too large for her to tackle on her own.
"Thank you, Dragon," she said finally, meeting the Shape Shifter's eyes.
"No problem," Dragon said. She sighed. "I'll leave you alone, then, so you can get some rest. Come see me when you're ready. You know where I'll be." With that, she turned and left the room.
Selene watched her go and sighed when she had gone. What Dragon said was true: she needed to get some rest. At the same time, though, Selene felt she had slept too long and she wanted to be out as soon as possible.
Once again, however, weariness tugged at Selene and she found herself drifting to the bed. She moved her overcoat and gun to the dresser and sat down on the bed. She still didn't want to rest, but now the thought of sleep was too enticing for her to resist.
She slipped her boots off and set them next to the bed, She then slid under the blankets and settled down, wishing more than anything that she had Michael lying beside her. Yet despite her aching heart she managed to push the thought away and rolled onto her side. She hoped desperately that with the help of the Shape Shifter pack she would be able to find Michael and save what was left her kind.

                                          -End-
Well, here it is. Part 8. This is the final part to the story. I won't be continuing this one, but I will be starting a new one called Immortals: Silver Lining. This time, Dragon takes a little trip six hundred years back to the time of the original werewolves and the rise of the Lycans and Sonja and all those guys. Sounds like fun, right? :D

Dragon gives Selene some insight to the Shape Shifter abilities and what not, and decides to help Selene on he mission.
